Indications

• Relief of dry, irritating cough
• Relief of sore throat
• Assists in relieving productive cough

Pharmacology

• Osmotic dehydrating agent
• Hygroscopic properties
• Lubricating properties
• Plasma osmolality effect
• Osmosis effect

Dosage & Administration

• Adult dosage: Two 5 ml spoonful (10 ml)
• Children 1 to 5 years dosage: One 5 ml spoonful (5 ml)
• Children 3 month to 1 year dosage: ½ to 1 spoonful (2.5 to 5 ml)
• Dose repetition frequency: three or four times a day

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity or intolerance to any of the ingredients

Side Effects

• Unlikely to cause side effects unless allergic to the ingredients

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Safety during pregnancy and lactation not established
• Not considered a hazard during pregnancy and lactation

Precautions & Warnings

• Diabetics should take note of the carbohydrate content
• Not for children under one year
