Indications
- Symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract disorders
- Productive cough relief
- Nasal decongestant administration

Pharmacology
- Pseudoephedrine as a decongestant and bronchodilator
- Vasoconstriction via adrenergic receptors stimulation
- Bronchial relaxation via adrenergic receptors stimulation
- Release of norepinephrine from storage sites
- Guaifenesin reduces viscosity of sputum
- Increased hydration of respiratory tract
- Triprolidine as an antihistamine
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 10 ml three times a day
- Children 6-12 years dosage: 5 ml three times a day
- Children 2-5 years dosage: 2.5 ml three times a day
Interaction
- Concomitant use with sympathomimetic agents
- Potential rise in blood pressure with certain drugs
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to constituents
- Cardiovascular disease and hypertension
- Lower respiratory symptoms including asthma
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) therapy
