Dosage
- Usual starting dose for adults: 1 microgram per day
- Usual dose range for adults: 1-3 micrograms per day
- Usual dose range for children over 20 kg: 1 microgram per day
- Administration: Should be taken with food
Interactions
- Thiazides may increase risk of hypercalcaemia
- Antiepileptics may increase vitamin D requirements
- Rifampicin, isoniazid, and corticosteroids may reduce efficacy
