Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 2 tablets orally daily
- Morning and noon administration
- Elderly patients: 1 tablet in the morning
- Maintenance dose: 1 tablet orally in the morning
Interaction
- Enhancement of response to alcohol and CNS depressants
- Risk of hypertensive crises with MAO-inhibitors
- Influence on antihypertensive effect of certain compounds
Contraindications
- Recovery phase after myocardial infarction
- Defects in bundle-branch conduction
- Untreated narrow-angle glaucoma
- Acute alcohol, barbiturate and opiate intoxications
