Dosage & Administration
- Dose for adults: 2 tablets orally daily in the morning and noon
- Increased morning dose for severe cases
- Dose for elderly patients: 1 tablet in the morning
- Maintenance dose: 1 tablet orally in the morning
Interaction
- Enhanced response to alcohol and CNS depressants
- Hypertensive crises with MAO-inhibitors
- Effect on antihypertensive drugs and adrenaline/noradrenaline
Contraindications
- Immediate recovery phase after myocardial infarction
- Defects in bundle-branch conduction
- Untreated narrow-angle glaucoma
- Acute alcohol, barbiturate and opiate intoxications
