Description
Actions in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease
Pharmacology
Acts as an antihistamine, labyrinthine sedative, and peripheral antivasoconstrictor
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult dose: 15 to 30 mg three times daily
- Children (5 to 12 years): Half of the adult dose
- Motion sickness dose: 30 mg two hours before the journey, 15 mg every 8 hours during the journey
- Peripheral arterial diseases dose: 75 mg two or three times daily

Contraindications
- No specific contraindications
- Caution in hypotensive patients
Side Effects
- Rare somnolence
- Rare gastrointestinal disturbances
- Transient allergic skin reactions
- Fatigue on rare occasions
- Appearance of extrapyramidal symptoms reported in elderly people during prolonged therapy
Pregnancy & Lactation
Safety not established in human pregnancy; not advisable to administer in pregnancy
