Pharmacology
- Piperazine-derivative antihistamine

Dosage & Administration
- 25-50 mg daily for adults and children 12 years and over
- Initial dose of 25-50 mg for motion sickness, 1 hour prior to travel
- 50 mg for radiation sickness, administered 2-12 hours before treatment
- 25-100 mg daily in divided doses for vertigo
- 25-50 mg for prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with emergency contraceptive pill (ECP), 1 hour before first dose, repeat if needed in 24 hours
Interactions
- Potentiation of CNS depressant effects by Ethanol or other CNS depressant agents
- Potentiation of anticholinergic effects by concurrent use of other anticholinergics
- Increased absorption of digoxin
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Meclizine Hydrochloride
- Hypersensitivity to Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
