Mode of Action
- Selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor type
- Antagonism of 5HT3 receptors on neurons located in the peripheral and central nervous system
Administration
- Oral soluble film designed to be applied on top of the tongue
- Dissolves within 20 seconds
- No water required for dissolution or swallowing
- Can be swallowed with or without liquid
Interaction
Does not induce or inhibit the cytochrome P-450 drug-metabolizing enzyme system
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
- Concomitant use of apomorphine
