Dosage Administration
- Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting:
- Adults and pediatric patients (6 months to 18 years)
- Pediatrics (>40 kg)

- Radiotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting:
- Adults

Administration Instructions
- Tear the pouch carefully along the edge tear mark
- Place the film on top of the tongue
- Do not chew or swallow the film whole
- Swallow after the film dissolves
- Wash hands after administration
Drug Interaction
Metabolized by hepatic cytochrome P-450 drug-metabolizing enzymes
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
- Concomitant use of apomorphine

Pregnancy & Lactation
No evidence of harm to the fetus due to Ondansetron, caution in nursing women
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity reactions
- Not a stimulant of gastric or intestinal peristalsis
- Should not be used instead of nasogastric suction
Special Populations
- Renal Function: Same dosage recommendation as for general population
- Hepatic Function: Single maximal daily dose of 8 mg is recommended for severe hepatic impairment
- Pediatric Patients: Little information available for dosage in patients 4 years of age or younger
- Elderly Patients: No dosage adjustment needed for patients over the age of 65
