Indications
- Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting
- Uncontrolled nausea and vomiting

Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult tablet dosage of 0.5 mg daily
- Usual adult IV dosage of 0.075 mg over 10 seconds
- Specific dosages for chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
- Children dosage of 20 mcg/kg body weight
- Maximum children dose of 1.5 mg
Interaction
- Safe administration with corticosteroids, analgesics, antiemetics, antispasmodics, and anticholinergic agents
- No inhibition of antitumor activity of specific drugs
- No significant pharmacokinetic interactions with metoclopramide
- In vitro studies on CYP enzymes
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
Side Effects
- Most common adverse reactions: headaches and constipation
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy category 'B'
- Unknown excretion in breast milk
Use in Special Populations
- No dosage adjustment in elderly patients >65 years of age
- Specific dosage for children (1 month to 10 years)
- No dosage adjustment in patients with renal and hepatic dysfunction
