Indications

  • Partial and secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizures

Pharmacology

  • Depression of activity in the nucleus ventralis of the thalamus

  • Stimulation of the release of antidiuretic hormone (ADH)
  • Potentiation of the action of ADH in promoting reabsorption of water
