Indications

Composition

  • Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel BP (Al2O3, 47% minimum): 425.53 mg
  • Magnesium Hydroxide BP: 400 mg
  • Simethicone USP: 30 mg
  • Aluminium Oxide (Equivalent amount of Aluminium Hydroxide Gel USP): 200 mg
  • Magnesium Hydroxide (Equivalent amount of Magnesium Hydroxide Paste USP): 400 mg

Pharmacology

  • Non-systemic acid neutralizing substances
  • Antiflatulent
  • Reliability and long action
  • Neutralization of gastric acid
  • Antifoam properties of Simethicone
  • Treatment of flatulence and meteorism
  • Physiologically inert with no interference with gastric secretion or nutrient absorption
  • Excretion unchanged in feces

Dosage & Administration

  • Tablet: 1-2 tablets 1-3 hours after meal and at bedtime
  • Suspension: 1-2 teaspoonful 1-3 hours after meal and at bedtime

Interaction

  • Increase or decrease in absorption of concomitantly administered oral drugs
  • Decrease in bioavailability of certain drugs
  • Increase in bioavailability of certain drugs

Contraindications

  • Patients with renal failure or hypophosphataemia
  • Patients who are severely debilitated
  • Alkalosis and hypermagnesaemia
  • Abdominal distention due to partial or complete intestinal obstruction

Side Effects

  • Uncommon gastrointestinal side effects
  • Occasional diarrhea, constipation or regurgitation with excessive consumption

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoidance in the first trimester of pregnancy

Precautions & Warnings

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease
