Description

  • Neugaba is indicated for neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.

Pharmacology

  • Structural derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)
  • High affinity to the alpha2-delta site in central nervous system tissues

Dosage

  • Maximum recommended dose of Pregabalin is 100 mg three times a day for DPN
  • Recommended dose of Pregabalin is 75 to 150 mg two times a day for PHN
  • Recommended dose of Pregabalin is 300 to 450 mg/day for fibromyalgia

Administration

  • Oral route of administration
  • Take with or without food
  • Swallow whole, do not split, crush, or chew

  • Unlikely to be involved in significant pharmacokinetic drug interactions

  • Known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components
