Indications
- Adjunctive treatment of parkinsonian syndrome

Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration
- Preferred administration after meals
- Initial dose for parkinsonism: 2.5mg 3 times a day
- Dose adjustment for parkinsonism: up to 30mg daily
- Initial dose for drug induced extrapyramidal symptom: 2.5mg 3 times a day
- Dose adjustment for extrapyramidal symptom: as needed and tolerated
- IM or IV injection: 5-10mg, repeated if necessary; max 20mg daily
Interaction
- Increased anticholinergic activity with certain agents
- Reduced absorption of ketoconazole
Contraindications
- Use with caution in children and geriatric patients
- Caution in patients with diarrhea
- Caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
- Caution in patients with glaucoma
- Caution in patients with urinary retention
- Caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- Caution in patients with renal impairment
