Description
- Adjunctive treatment of all forms of parkinsonian syndrome
- Symptomatic treatment of idiopathic, postencephalitic, and arteriosclerotic parkinsonian
- Control of extrapyramidal symptoms induced by neuroleptic drugs
- Antimuscarinic antiparkinsonian agent
- Absorbed from gastrointestinal tract
- Duration of effect up to 4 hours
- Oral administration, preferably after meals
- Dosage adjustment based on tolerance
- Interaction with agents having anticholinergic properties
- Reduced absorption when administered concomitantly with ketoconazole
- Caution in children and geriatric patients
- Caution in patients with diarrhea, cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, urinary retention, hepatic or renal impairment
