Indications
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Bowel movement disturbances caused by small sacs or pouches in the wall of the gut (diverticular disease)
- Abdominal pain associated with menstrual periods (Primary dysmenorrhea)
- Relief of other conditions associated with spasm of involuntary muscle
Pharmacology
- Smooth muscle relaxant
- Acts directly on the muscle in the gut
- Prevents muscle spasm in the gut
- Also relaxes the smooth muscle in the uterus
- Used to treat painful menstruation
Dosage & Administration
- Adult: Orally: 60-120 mg 1-3 times daily

Contraindications
- Paralytic ileus
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Overdose Effects
