Indications

Mode of Action

Dosage & Administration

  • Usual initial dose is 40 to 80 mg daily
  • Maximum daily dose can be 320 mg
  • Recommended to take before meal
  • Recommended daily dose is one to four tablets (maximum 120 mg) in a single intake at breakfast time
  • Tablet should be taken with a glass of water
  • Must always eat a meal after taking the tablet
  • Consult doctor before stopping medication

Interaction

  • May be strengthened or weakened by various other medicines affecting blood sugar levels
  • Recommended not to be taken with alcohol
  • May impair ability to concentrate or react if blood sugar levels are too low or too high

Contraindications
