Description

Dosage
- Usual initial dose: 40-80 mg daily
- Maximum dose: 320 mg daily
- Can be taken before meal
- Modified release preparation available
- Recommended daily dose: 1-4 tablets
- For children, Gliclazide is contraindicated
Interaction
- May interact with other oral antidiabetics, GLP-1 receptor agonists, insulin
- Interaction with antibiotics, antifungals, painkillers, alcohol
- Effect on blood clotting with warfarin
- Alcohol consumption not recommended
- Impaired driving and machine use if blood sugar is too low or high
