Description

Dosage and Administration

  • Metformin excreted into human breast milk
  • Breastfeeding not recommended during metformin treatment

Precautions and Warnings

  • Substantial excretion by the kidney
  • Increased risk of lactic acidosis with renal impairment
  • May lower vitamin B12 level
