Indications
- Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Improves glycaemic control in adults

Pharmacology
- Inhibitor of DPP-4 enzyme
- Increases concentration of active incretin hormones
- Stimulates release of insulin
- Decreases secretion of glucagon
- Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide
Dosage & Administration
- 5 mg once daily
- Concomitant administration with metformin
- Consideration for lower sulphonylurea dose
Interaction
- Weak competitive and weak to moderate mechanism-based CYP3A4 inhibitor
- No clinically relevant effect on the pharmacokinetics of other medications

- Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
