Indications

Dosage

Administration
- Preferred intramuscular route for most infections
- Intravenous route for life-threatening infections

Interaction
- Potentiation of effects when combined with myorelaxants
- Avoid combination with other aminoglycoside antibiotics
- Increased risk of ototoxicity when combined with fast-acting diuretics
- Increased risk of nephrotoxicity when combined with Cephalosporins or Polymixins
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amikacin or any constituents of the injection
