Dosage and Administration
- May be administered by IM or IV
- High dose therapy involves 30 mg/kg administered intravenously over at least 30 minutes
- Initial dose varies from 10 to 40 mg depending on the clinical problem being treated
Interaction
- Aminoglutethimide may lead to a loss of corticosteroid-induced adrenal suppression
- Macrolide antibiotics may cause a significant decrease in corticosteroid clearance
- Anticoagulants, oral: coadministration with corticosteroids may inhibit response to warfarin

- Systemic fungal infections
- Known hypersensitivity to the product and its constituents

- Intramuscular corticosteroid preparations for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura

Pregnancy & Lactation

Use in Special Populations
