Indications
- Treatment of female anovulation
- Treatment of female oligo-ovulation
- Lactational amenorrhoea treatment
- Psychogenic amenorrhoea treatment
- Treatment of male oligospermia
- Treatment of poor sperm motility
Pharmacology
Mainly antiestrogenic effects, some estrogenic effects, stimulates ovulation, increases FSH and LH secretion in males
Dosage & Administration
- 50 mg daily for 5 days for females
- 25 mg once daily up to 90 days for males
- Loading dose of 250 mg-1 g for patients undergoing haemodialysis
- Ovulation usually occurs 4 to 10 days after the last day of treatment
