Indications

Pharmacology
Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that increases cGMP in smooth muscle cells, leading to smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow into the corpus cavernosum. It also relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder, improving voiding.
Dosage & Administration
- Erectile Dysfunction: Recommended starting dose is 10 mg, with a maximum frequency of once daily and effective for up to 36 hours.
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: Recommended dose is 5 mg taken at the same time every day.
- Combined ED and BPH: Recommended dose is 5 mg at the same time every day.
Interaction
May interact with Nitrates, Alpha adrenergic blockers, Antihypertensives, Alcohol, Antacids, Ketoconazole, Ritonavir, Erythromycin, Itraconazole, Grapefruit juice, other HIV protease inhibitors, Rifampin, Carbamazepine, Phenytoin & Phenobarbital.

Pregnancy & Lactation
