Indications
- Prevent fertilization after unprotected intercourse

Composition
- 1.5mg levonorgestrel in each tablet
- 0.75mg levonorgestrel in each tablet

Description
- Emergency contraceptive for women
- Should be used within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse

Pharmacology
- Levonorgestrel suppresses gonadotropins
- Inhibits ovulation by binding to progesterone and androgen receptors
- Slows release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone from hypothalamus
Dosage
- 1.5mg tablet: One tablet to be taken within 12 hours to 72 hours after intercourse
- 0.75mg tablet: First tablet within 72 hours, second tablet after 12 hours
- Can be taken at any moment during the menstrual cycle
Administration

- Tablet to be taken with a glass of water
Interaction
- Certain anticonvulsant agents and medications can reduce or suppress effectiveness
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levonorgestrel or excipients

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not indicated in case of pre-existing pregnancy
