Indications
- Mild to moderately severe bacterial infections treatment

Dosage
- Dosage determination based on sensitivity of causative micro-organism and severity of infection
- Dosage adjustment according to clinical response
- Adult dosage: 250-500 mg 6 hourly
- Children dosage: 125-250 mg 6 hourly
- Infants dosage: 62.5-125 mg 6 hourly
Administration
- Best taken on an empty stomach
- Tablets to be swallowed without chewing with liquid
- Shaking vigorously required before syrup use
Interaction
- Reduction in the rate of absorption with concurrent food intake
- Potential drug interactions with methotrexate, bacteriostatic chemotherapeutics, probenecid, indomethacin, phenylbutazone, salicylates, sulfinpyrazone, oral contraceptives, aminoglycosides, oral anticoagulants
- Interference with laboratory and diagnostic tests

- Hypersensitivity to penicillins or any excipients
- Severe gastrointestinal disorders with vomiting and diarrhea
