500 mg oral dose four times a day
250 mg injection into muscles every 4-6 hours
500 mg injection into veins every 4-6 hours
500 mg injection for plural cavities or joint cavities
Dosage for children: half the adult dose up to 10 years, one-fourth the adult dose below 2 years old
Injection dosage for children: 250 mg with 1.5 ml or 500 mg with 2 ml water for injection into muscles, 500 mg with 5-10 ml water for injection into veins, 500 mg with 5-10 ml water for injection into plural cavities, 500 mg with 5 ml water or 0.5% lignocaine hydrochloride solution for injection into joint cavities

Caution in patients with a history of allergies to penicillin
Avoid use in subconjunctival injections or eye drops
Store prepared cefaclor solution at a cool place, preferably in a refrigerator before use
Use cefaclor liquid and drops within 5 days at room temperature or within 7 days if refrigerated
Use prepared cefaclor liquid for injection within 30 minutes
Cefaclor liquid remains effective for up to 24 hours at normal temperature
