Description

This medication is used to treat infections caused by gram-positive bacteria, including those resistant to penicillin. It is also indicated for staphylococcal infections, respiratory tract, nasal, ear, and throat infections, and other sensitive bacterial infections.

DosageAndAdministration

Adults: 500mg to be taken orally four times a day, or administered as injections. Children: Dosage varies based on age and condition, to be administered orally or through injections as per the specified guidelines.

Indications

Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract, nasal, ear, throat infections, and other sensitive bacterial infections.

Contraindications

Patients hypersensitive to penicillin should not use Cefaclor.

SideEffects

Common side effects include fever, diarrhea, indigestion, rash, urticaria, and erythematous reactions. Discontinue medication if any type of rash occurs.

PrecautionsAndWarnings

Caution should be exercised when using Cefaclor in patients with a history of allergies. Cefaclor should not be used as a subconjunctival injection or eye drops.
