Treatment of infections caused by gram-positive bacteria
Treatment of penicillinase-producing staphylococcal infection

For adults: 500mg orally, 4 times a day
For intramuscular injection: 250mg every 4-6 hours
For subcutaneous injection: 500mg every 4-6 hours
For pleural cavity injection: 500mg once daily
For joint cavity injection: 500mg once daily
For children: half the adult dose for ages 2-10 years, one-fourth for under 2 years
