Indications
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Respiratory tract infections

Pharmacology
- Active against Gram-positive organisms
- Inhibition of cell wall formation
- Resistance to hydrolysis by penicillinase
- Bactericidal antibiotic
- Interferes with peptidoglycan synthesis
Dosage
- Oral administration for adults: 250 mg four times daily
- Parenteral administration for adults: Intramuscular or intravenous injection 250 mg-1 g four times daily
- Dosage may be doubled in severe infections
Administration
Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before a meal
Interaction
Concurrent use may result in increased levels of Cloxafu in the blood for a prolonged period
Contraindications
Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients

Consider dose reduction in severe renal failure (creatinine clearance <10 ml/min)
