Description
Dolopen is indicated for the treatment of infections due to Gram-positive organisms, including infections caused by penicillinase producing staphylococci. It is available for oral and parenteral administration, with dosage recommendations for adults, children, and elderly patients. The oral administration should be taken 1 hour before a meal. Concurrent use of Dolopen and certain medications may result in increased levels of Dolopen in the blood. The therapeutic class is penicillinase-resistant penicillins. Dolopen is categorized as US FDA Pregnancy Category B and caution should be exercised when administered to lactating mothers.
