Indications

Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
Treatment of respiratory tract infections
Prophylactic agent for surgical procedures
Treatment of osteomyelitis and endocarditis
Treatment of urinary tract infection
Treatment of meningitis and septicaemia

Pharmacology

Active against Gram-positive organisms
Inhibits cell wall formation in bacteria
Bactericidal antibiotic
Resistance to hydrolysis by penicillinase
Steric hindrance against penicillinase

Dosage

Oral administration for adults and children
Parenteral administration for adults, elderly, and children
Adjustable dosage for severe infections
Administer oral doses 1 hour before a meal

Administration

Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before meal

Interaction

Concurrent use may result in increased blood levels of the product

Contraindications

Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
