Indications
- Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections

Pharmacology
- Active against Gram-positive organisms
- Little activity against Gram-negative bacilli
- Inhibits the formation of bacterial cell wall
- Isoxazolyl penicillin with resistance to penicillinase hydrolysis
- Bactericidal antibiotic against penicillinase-producing staphylococci
- Interferes with peptidoglycan synthesis
- Weakens bacterial cell wall leading to cell rupture
Dosage
- Oral administration for adults and children
- Parenteral administration for adults, elderly, and children
- Different dosages for severe infections
- Dosage adjustment for renal failure
Administration
- Oral administration 1 hour before meal
Interaction
- Concurrent use may increase Flux level in blood

- Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
