Pharmacology

Active against Gram-positive organisms
Little activity against Gram-negative bacilli
Inhibits the formation of cell wall of bacteria
Bactericidal antibiotic
Particularly useful against penicillinase-producing staphylococci

Administration

Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before meal

Interaction

Concurrent use may result in increased level of Fluxicap in blood

Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
