Indications
- Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
- Treatment of respiratory tract infections
- Treatment of osteomyelitis
- Treatment of enteritis

Pharmacology
- Active against Gram-positive organisms
- Little activity against Gram-negative bacilli
- Inhibits formation of bacterial cell wall
- Bactericidal antibiotic
- Useful against penicillinase-producing staphylococci
Dosage
- Oral administration for adults: 250 mg four times daily
- Oral administration for severe infections: doubled dosage
- Parenteral administration for adults: 250 mg four times daily
- Intramuscular injection for adults: 250 mg four times daily
- Intravenous injection for adults: 250 mg-1g four times daily
- Oral administration for children (2-10 years): half of adult dose
- Oral administration for children (Under 2 years): quarter of adult dose
- Parenteral administration for children: dose adjustments
Administration
- Oral doses to be administered 1 hour before meal
Interaction
- Concurrent use may result in increased level of Isoclox in blood
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients

- Common side effects of gastrointestinal tract
- Minor gastrointestinal disturbances
- Rashes, urticaria, purpura
- Fever, interstitial nephritis, hepatitis
- Cholestatic jaundice

- Use with caution in patients with hepatic dysfunction
- Caution in the treatment of patients with an allergic diathesis
