Pharmacology

Broad spectrum penicillin effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria

Dosage

Adult: 250 mg three times daily, increasing up to 500 mg three times daily for severe infections
Children: 125 mg three times daily, increasing up to 250 mg three times daily for severe infections

Administration

Reconstituted suspension can be administered by adding to milk, fruit juice, or water

Interaction

Concurrent use with Probenecid may result in increased and prolonged blood levels, affect the gut flora, and reduce efficacy of combined oral contraceptives

Contraindications

Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
