Indications:
- Ear, nose and throat infections
- Lower respiratory tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Genito-urinary tract infections
- Venereal disease
- Dental abscess
- H. pylori infection and duodenal ulcer disease
Pharmacology: Effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Dosage:
- Adult:
  - 250 mg three times daily
  - 500 mg three times daily for severe infections
- Children:
  - 125 mg three times daily
  - 250 mg three times daily for severe infections
Administration: Reconstituted suspension can be administered by adding to milk, fruit juice, or water
Interaction: Concurrent use with Probenecid may result in increased and prolonged blood levels
Contraindications: Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
Side Effects:
- Diarrhoea
- Indigestion
- Rash
- Pseudo-membranous colitis
Pregnancy & Lactation: Pregnancy category B, caution advised during lactation
Precautions & Warnings: Possibility of superinfections with mycotic or bacterial pathogens should be kept in mind
Reconstitution:
- Amoxycillin 500 mg Injection:
  - Intramuscular: Add 2.5 ml water for injection
  - Intravenous: Dissolve in 10 ml water for injection
Storage Conditions: Keep in a dry place away from light and heat, out of the reach of children
