Indications

Mode of Action
Inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis
Dosage
- Adult:
- 250 mg three times daily
- Up to 500 mg three times daily for severe infections
- Children:
- 125 mg three times daily
- Up to 250 mg three times daily for severe infections
Administration
Can be administered with milk, fruit juice, or water
Interaction
Concurrent use of Moxapen and Probenecid may increase and prolong blood levels of Moxapen
Contraindications
Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients

Pregnancy & Lactation
Amoxicillin is FDA pregnancy category B, caution during lactation
