Recommended usage adults

  • Urinary tract infections: 500mg-1g four times daily
  • Respiratory tract infections: 250mg-1g four times daily
  • Skin and soft tissue infections: 250mg-1g four times daily

Recommended usage children

  • Total daily dose of 25-50mg/kg in divided doses
  • Otitis media: Total daily dose of 75-100mg/kg in divided doses

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins

Interactions

  • Increased risk of kidney damage with nephrotoxic drugs
  • Enhanced renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid
