Indications
- Treatment for infections caused by sensitive Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
- Treatment for upper respiratory tract infections
- Treatment for lower respiratory tract infections
- Treatment for urinary tract infections
- Treatment for skin and soft tissue infections
Pharmacology
- Semisynthetic broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
- Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
- Inhibits cross-linking process of cell wall of bacteria
- Causes lysis of bacteria due to external osmotic pressure
Dosage administration
- Oral administration for adults and children
- Injectable administration for adults and children
- Dosage adjustment for renal impairment
- Maximum daily dosage of 4 gm
Interaction
- Risk of kidney damage with concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs
- Enhanced renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid
Contraindications
- Not to be used in patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity to cephalosporins

Pregnancy lactation

Overdose effects

Storage conditions
- Freshly prepare suspension
- Reconstituted suspension should be used within 7-14 days
