Indications

Pharmacology
- Broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
- Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
- Inhibition of cross-linking process in bacteria cell wall
- Cell wall lysis due to external osmotic pressure
Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration for adults and children
- Dosage variations based on infection severity and site
- Maximum daily dosage: 4 gm
- Dosage adjustment for elderly and patients with renal or hepatic function impairment

Interaction
- Increased risk of kidney damage with nephrotoxic drugs
