Mycef 125 mg/1.25 ml (Pediatric Drops)

Indications

• Upper respiratory tract infections treatment
• Lower respiratory tract infections treatment
• Urinary tract infections treatment
• Skin and soft tissue infections treatment
• Susceptibility to certain microorganisms

Pharmacology

• Broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
• Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
• Inhibition of the cross-linking process in the cell wall of bacteria

Dosage & Administration

• Oral administration for adults and children
• Injectable administration for adults and children
• Dosage adjustment for elderly and patients with impaired renal or hepatic function
• Maximum daily dosage
• Prophylactic dose for adults and children
• Total daily dose for children based on weight
• Recommendations for patients with renal impairment or on haemodialysis

Interaction

• Concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs
• Enhanced risk of renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins
