Indications

Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections

Pharmacology

Bactericidal antibiotic
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
Inhibits cross-linking process in bacteria cell wall

Interaction

Increased risk of kidney damage with nephrotoxic drugs
Enhanced possibility of renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid

Contraindications

Not to be used in patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins
