Pharmacological Action
- Cephradine inhibits cross-linking process in the cell wall of bacteria, causing the formation of cell wall with pores and eventual lysis of bacteria due to external osmotic pressure.

Recommended Dosage
- 500mg - 1g for adults with urinary tract infections
- 250mg - 1g for adults with respiratory tract infections
- 250mg - 1g for adults with skin and soft tissue infections
- 25-50mg/kg for children
- Maximum daily dosage: 4g for adults
Interaction
- Increased risk of kidney damage when used with nephrotoxic drugs such as aminoglycosides
- Enhanced possibility of renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid
