Indications

  • Upper respiratory tract infections

Pharmacology

  • Cephradine is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
  • Active against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
  • Inhibits cross-linking process of bacteria cell wall

  • Administration for adults and children
  • Dosage adjustment for elderly, renal, and hepatic impairment
  • Oral and injectable administration

Interaction

  • Concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs
  • Enhanced risk of renal toxicity with diuretics and probenecid
