Cephradine is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic active against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.

For oral administration - Adults:
- Infections dosage based on severity
- Maximum daily dosage: 4 gm
For oral administration - Children:
- Total daily dose of 25 to 50mg/kg
- Maximum daily dosage: 4 gm
For injectable administration - Adult:
- Usual dose of 2-4 gm daily in four equally divided doses
- Prophylaxis dose of 1-2 gm intramuscularly or intravenously
For injectable administration - Children:
- Dose of 50-100 mg/kg daily in four equally divided doses
- up to 300 mg/kg daily in severe infection

Concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs may increase the risk of kidney damage.

Should not be used in patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.

Safety in pregnancy not established, excreted in breast milk, caution in lactating mothers.

Non-specific symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea, treatment is mainly supportive.
