Indications

Pharmacology

  • Second generation cephalosporin antibiotic

Dosage & Administration

  • Adult dose: 250 mg every 8 hours
  • Paediatric dose: 20 mg/kg/day in divided doses
  • Dosage adjustments for renal impairment
  • Dosage for patients undergoing haemodialysis
  • Safety and effectiveness for use in infants

Interaction

  • False-positive reaction for glucose in urine
  • Interaction with oral anticoagulants

Contraindications
