Indications
- Treatment of pharyngitis/tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes
- Treatment of acute bacterial otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis

Pharmacology
- Broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against common pathogens
- Good stability to bacterial β-lactamase

- Adverse effects occur infrequently and generally mild and transient

Pregnancy & Lactation

- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Excreted in human milk, caution during nursing

- Care with concurrent treatment of potent diuretics
- Consideration for patients with history of colitis
