Indications
- Treatment of pharyngitis/tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes

Pharmacology
- Broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against a wide range of common pathogens

Dosage
- Specific dosages for adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients
- Dosage for different infections such as pharyngitis, otitis media, sinusitis, bronchitis, skin infections, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, pneumonia, MDR typhoid fever, and Lyme disease
- Dosage for different patients including adults, children, and neonates
- Dosage for surgical prophylaxis, pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, meningitis, and bone and joint infections

Contraindications

Side Effects

- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Caution advised during lactation
Precautions & Warnings
- Care in patients receiving concurrent treatment with potent diuretics
- Consideration for patients with history of colitis
- Cross-reactions have been reported for patients hypersensitive to penicillin
