Indications

Pharmacology
- Broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against a wide range of common pathogens
- Active against β-lactamase producing strains
- Good stability to bacterial β-lactamase
Dosage
- Adolescents and adults dosing for various infections
- Paediatric Patients dosing for various infections
- Parenteral dosing for different age groups and infections
Administration
- Use of freshly reconstituted solution recommended
- Potency maintenance for at least 24 hours at room temperature or 48 hours at 5°C

- No potentially hazardous interactions reported
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known allergy to Cephalosporins
Side Effects
- Adverse effects occurred infrequently
- Generally mild and transient in nature
- Reported effects include rashes and gastrointestinal disturbances
- Prolonged use may result in the overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms like Candida
